Transformer Commissioning
We provide a comprehensive transformer commissioning service to ensure your equipment operates safely and within specification before entering service. Our commissioning process includes:
• Visual inspection and verification of nameplate data
• Insulation resistance testing
• Winding resistance measurement
• Turns ratio verification
• Oil sampling and dielectric testing (where applicable)
• Functional testing of tap changers, protection devices, and auxiliary systems
• Preparation of commissioning reports and handover documentation
All commissioning work is carried out by qualified engineers in accordance with relevant British and international standards.
Installation
Our installation service covers the full scope of on-site work required to position and connect your transformer, including:
• Offloading and positioning using specialist lifting equipment
• HV and LV cable termination and connections
• Earthing arrangements
• Oil filling and processing (where required)
• On-site safety checks and compliance verification
We coordinate closely with main contractors, DNOs, and site managers to ensure installation is completed safely, on programme, and in compliance with CDM regulations and relevant site requirements.
